You work from remote possibly over the internet with a windoof over citrix session and you can count each and every pixel the pointer hops to?
You might want to check the theme of your windoof over citrix session that is active for your user. Change it to the classic theme and re-try. For me it helped a great deal. Pointer movement is nearly as smooth and fast as on a local computer.
